We are delighted to offer for sale this Rolex Submariner Date which carries the reference number 16800. We feel this particular watch represents an opportunity to acquire a highly desirable Rolex in a superb condition.
Sent to Rolex for a full service and unworn since, an excellent condition, pre-owned, chronometer rated automatic movement, '9428***' serial Rolex Submariner Date, model reference 16800. Featuring a 40mm stainless steel case, housing a black dial with fine 'spidering', with lightly aged Tritium indices and an oversized font date window at 3 o'clock. The dial is surrounded by a stainless steel uni-directional rotating diver's bezel with a 60-minute black aluminium insert showing a few scuffs to the right of the '50' numeral. Supplied on a full retail length stainless Rolex Oyster bracelet with a secure folding Oysterlock clasp.
This Rolex Submariner Date 16800 has recently been returned from Rolex having undergone a full service which included: new hands (please note that we have kept the original hands), new glass, new clasp/buckle and movement overhauled, the case and bracelet meticulously refinished. The cost of the service came to a total of £1097.70 which is fully documented to go along with the watch adding good provenance.
Supplied as shown in the detailed images with the original hand written receipt issued at the point of sale when first purchased new in the UK dated November 1986 for a grand total of £810 (!), both inner and outer Rolex boxes, two swing tags, three manuals, Rolex 1986/1987 calendar card, Rolex warranty card holder, and Rolex warranty certificate. Included are also the service documents which consist of: Rolex service invoice, Rolex service manual, Rolex service pouch and the Rolex service warranty card dated February 2021. The original hands with Tritium lume have been retained and are also included in the sale.
Warranty
This Rolex Submariner Date 16800 benefits from the balance of a two year Rolex service warranty which expires February 2023, in addition to a one year Rolex Watch Trader warranty which applies to all watches sold by ourselves.

Its always a bit daunting when dealing by post and with someone you have not previously dealt with. Sil is a good guy, one thing he said which resonates still is that his reputation is worth more to him than the money. I guess if the reputation is right the money comes after. I did a part chop, after 4-5 emails, 2 calls I have received my new watch and am VERY happy.
